Aldi launches ‘bargain’ KitchenAid mixer dupe and baking fans ‘need’ it

Aldi has released a new cooking appliance, and fans have praised its “dreamy” look and “bargain” price.

The budget retailer’s newest SpecialBuys product is the classic stand mixer, which comes in three different colors: pistachio, pearl and grey.

Stand mixers, which are used to make baked goods – and frequently seen on the Great British Bake Off – are generally quite expensive, with KitchenAid mixers costing upwards of hundreds of pounds.

Aldi’s version costs just £49.99, however, allowing those on a lower budget to enjoy the device.

The product description on Aldi’s website reads: “Ideal for whipping up delicious baked goods, this 800W stand mixer features an 8-speed rotary switch and pulse function.

“This baking appliance comes complete with a whisk, flat beater, dough hook and splatter guard. For easier cleanup, all accessories are dishwasher safe, so all you have to do is choose the cake you want to cook.”

Taking to Instagram to announce the product, Aldi wrote: “Channel your inner Mary Berry this Easter for just a fraction of the price with our classic stand mixer.”
