Daughter infuriates mom by baking cake with raisins: ‘Petty to the max’

A woman takes revenge on her mother by baking a raisin cake for her family.

She asked Reddit “Am I the A******? (AITA)” to weigh. Growing up, her mother cooked a lot of spicy foods, even though she didn’t like them. This meant that she had to choose the parts of the food that did not suit her.

But because her sister was a “fussy eater,” the mother prepared special meals for her sister.

“She had her own meals prepared for her every day and I had to eat what my parents had,” one user said.

For a family dinner, she decided to bake a cake with raisins, even though her mother hates raisins. She thinks her mother should just choose them.

But now her whole family is acting like she “did something horrible”.

“My sister confronted me and suggested that I should have cooked something else and that our mother should not have chosen cooking,” she wrote. “I held on, but she says I’m being unreasonable.”

Redditors didn’t think the poster was at fault and his family was immature.

“Are there any adults in your family?” one user wrote.

“Nice…that was petty to the max. Hope you made it clear why you chose to add raisins to the cake,” one person added.

“She doesn’t like it?” She doesn’t have to eat it,” another commented.
