Let’s just agree that one of the most popular cookie flavors is undoubtedly chocolate chip cookies. They not only go well with your cup of tea, but also as a dessert. Chocolate chip cookies are also a hit across all age groups. And if you believe Shivesh, even Deepika Padukone swears by chocolate chip cookies as her favorite indulgence. The Bollywood actor seems to have shared his penchant for baking time and time again and admitted to having a thing for chocolate chip cookies. And recently, Shivesh shared the recipe for what he claimed were Deepika’s favorite chocolate chip cookies.
Sharing a video on Instagram, Shivesh said this recipe is supposed to be Deepika Padukone’s favorite chocolate chip cookie. “So while browsing the internet I stumbled upon this chocolate chip cookie recipe which is apparently Deepika Padukone’s favorite cookie recipe! It looks very interesting so I tried to make one baked in my kitchen! They turned out so delicious, you really have to try this one,” he wrote in the post’s caption. The chocolate chip cookie video has already garnered over 1.7 million views and 127,000 likes.
Here is the chocolate chip cookie recipe by Shivesh Bhatia.
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup icing sugar
- 1 egg + 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 + 1/2 cup maida
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 200g chocolate chips
- Mix butter, icing sugar, powdered sugar and brown sugar in a bowl until smooth.
- Now add the egg yolks and an egg with the vanilla essence.
- Mix dry ingredients such as baking powder, baking soda, maida and salt.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and let the dough freeze for a while.
- Take it out and roll it into small balls. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
