Oreo launches 4 new cookie flavors for summer and brings back S’mores

Oreo has announced that there will be four new flavors hitting shelves throughout the summer, plus a returning favorite.

The makers of Oreo like to keep pretty secretive about their new releases of wacky cookies. But, finally, after weeks of swirling rumors, cookie cravings can finally mark their diaries with the brand’s summer flavors.

the cookie company announced that five different cookies (yes, five!) will be rolling out to grocery stores across the county over the next few months, Delish first reported.

Although none of them are as wacky as, say, those famous Swedish Fish Oreos, sandwich cookie fans won’t be disappointed as there are plenty of unique flavors to come.

Only one question remains, do you twist your sandwich cookie or just dunk it in milk right away?

S’mores are definitely a summer staple and just so happen to be a limited edition throwback flavor for the Oreo folks. Marshmallow and chocolate frostings will be sandwiched between a graham cracker because sometimes people just need a campfire experience without the campfire.

With a bit of luck baristas can image an Oreo on your latte, because there’s going to be a lot of dipping in June. These delicate Oreo Thins will be filled with a java flavored cream. The best part? This cookie remains for a while.

50 years ago, this July marks the historic Apollo 11 moon landing. To celebrate, Oreo will release a limited-edition cookie with pale purple frosting. The packaging designs (which will come in three variations, including an astronaut floating in space, a rocket taking off, and a crescent moon with stars) glow in the dark, which is pretty out of this world. But what does the moon really taste like? Marshmallows, of course!

For this glorious fusion of ice cream and cookies, Oreo has teamed up with Baskin Robbins. Although the cookie company has already released a cookie with a mint flavored creme, this one has a speckled surprise. The crunchy chocolate cookie will surround the mint cream with chocolate chips inside.

By the time August rolls around, people are usually tired of the summer heat and craving for cooler weather. While August might not quite be pumpkin spice season, Oreo brings a taste of fall to those missing crunchy leaves with its new Maple Cream Cookie, which includes a syrup-flavored creme sandwiched between golden Oreo cookies.
