It’s scary season across the galaxy and even the stormtroopers are joining in the fun! These adorable Stormtrooper Ghost Cookies take time to bake but are worth the wait. Whether you use them for tricks or treats, these peppy treats are the perfect way to celebrate Halloween!
Stormtrooper Ghost Cookies
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon light vanilla
- 1 cup icing sugar
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 200ºF. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2nd step: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to whip the egg whites 1-2 minutes until they form soft peaks.
Step 3: Add the vanilla and gradually dust in the icing sugar while whisking over high heat for 2 to 3 minutes, until stiff peaks form.
Step 4: Pour the mixture into a piping bag with a #10 tip. Pipe stormtrooper heads, ghost bodies and arms, 8 in total.
Step 5: Bake for 1h30. Turn off the oven and leave to rest for another hour and a half with the oven door closed.
Step 6: Transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.
Step 7: With black icing and a #3 tip, trace the details of the helmet. Once the icing is dry, the cookies are ready to serve.
Once you’ve enjoyed these treats, you can… move on, on to a happy Halloween!
