Turmeric in Baking Soda Home Remedies for Swollen Lips

Ice Cubes – These can give you instant pain relief. Every 10 minutes, repeat the process. It can even help heal cuts and bleeding lips. Be sure to wrap the ice cube in a soft cloth and then apply it to the lips.

Hot water – It helps to increase the level of blood circulation in the body. This can soothe the pain on the lips due to the swelling. Dip lukewarm water on a cloth and wring it out. For 10 minutes, leave the warm cloth on the lips.

Turmeric – The curcumin present in turmeric helps treat sores and cuts on the lips. In fact, turmeric is known for its healing properties. Therefore, it can help reduce swollen lips and cuts. You can make an ointment using fuller’s earth and cold water. Apply the paste on the lips. Let the paste dry and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Aloe Vera – Aloe Vera is surely one of the trusted products for skin and lip care. Use Aloe Vera only when lips swell due to mosquito bites, insect bites or allergic reactions. Apply the gel to the affected part and massage gently.

Baking soda – This can be used to treat swollen lips if they are caused by cold sores, allergic reactions or insect bites. Apply baking soda with water. Then gently massage the area with the paste. Keep it for 10 minutes and then rinse it off.
