Cookie flavors

Oreo is releasing 2 new cookie flavors in 2020

It’s hard to believe that Oreo only had one flavor. Classic chocolate and cream sandwich cookies are snack perfection, but in recent years Oreo has proven that there’s no flavor this little cookie can’t handle. From Maple Cream and Carrot Cake to Oreo to Hot Cocoa and Peeps Oreos, every year Oreo has pushed the boundaries when it comes to new flavor combinations.

And 2020 will be no different. Starting in January, you can find two new flavors of Oreo on your shelves: Chocolate Marshmallow and Caramel Coconut. How delicious do these new flavors sound?

Oreo posted the news on their Instagram page, and it got a lot of excitement from Oreo enthusiasts (that is, anyone with taste buds), if the comments section is any indication.

While it takes a few months to get your hands on these new flavors, the good news is that we’ll soon find out what the Oreo Mystery flavor is. Oreo launched its Mystery flavor in September, giving customers the chance to buy a packet of the Mystery Oreo flavor, taste a cookie (or more), then guess what the mystery flavor might be. Going online and grabbing the guess on the Oreo website, Oreo lovers had the chance to win $50,000.

People have lots of good guesses, including churro or funnel cake or even cannoli, but only Oreo has the official answer…and the name of the lucky winner(s)!

Keep your eyes peeled for other special Oreo flavors, including Peppermint Bark Oreos, which are revival for the holidays. Other fun flavors you may be able to find at local stores now include Dark Chocolate Oreos, S’mores Oreos and Oreos birthday cake.

And don’t forget to incorporate Oreos into your holiday cookie trays! This awesome Holiday Oreo Cookie Balls recipe from Valerie’s kitchen requires no baking and only a handful of ingredients, including Oreo cookies, chocolate chips and cream cheese. A culinary robot does most of the work. There will be no more mystery when these holiday Oreo balls disappear from your party tray!

You can also try making these Oreo Cheesecake Cookies from the Cookies and Cups blog, or Oreo Filled Chocolate Chip Cookies from Picky Palate (wow!). These house food creations are sure to impress your holiday guests.

Are you excited about these new flavors? We can’t wait for 2020.
